More and more spam from Ultimate-Anonymity

Take a look at this sad page, 9 pages full of his spam on a site:

Tuesday, September 9, 2008

If you get Ultimate-Anonymity spam on your forum or blog you can report it to which is a very active anti-spam company.

"...Yes, we also process forum and blog spam. Forum spam presents several problems because unlike email it can't be filtered and many people may read a spammed forum post whereas an email is usually sent to an individual. Emails can be deleted by the recipient, but spam postings usually have to be reported and deleted by an administrator. To combat this, forums often require users to become members and enter verification codes before posting, but spammers have found ways to force or spoof membership applications and they have already cracked the verification code systems of many forums.

Forward us spammed postings in text or html at: This will be processed just like other junk. If you have a large active forum with a serious spam problem, become a KnujOn member and we will work with you to get your forum abuse problem under control...."

Midhpase (aka Anhosting) refuses to take action against the spammers site even though I've mailed them Usenet spam and showed them how much UA spam there is on the web.
Let's add this to the wealth of info about Midphase on google: Midphase sucks?

Abuse letter

Here is a copy of a message I've just sent Smartdots, which is one of many URL forwarding services that the UA spammer abuses.

Dear Smartdots,

Please take action against the "ultimate-anonymity" spammer who is clearly breaking your TOS and ruining the internet experience for the rest of us.

1998, the year of dropshadow

Let us take a dive into the Internet Archive:*/

"The principals of Ultimate Anonymity are three longtime friends who formed Cyber Solutions in 1991. Cyber Solutions main function was building and maintaining custom networks and personal computers. In mid 1994 we shifted more towards website development and hosting, as well as promotions. We currently maintain several of our own websites and are still active in site design & promotion."

Hilarious: "What others are saying" -Most reviews clearly written by UA themselves:*/

Here's a little look at some identities the UA spammer uses...

fake testimonial (from here)

"Spam/Scam my ass. I have ordered several of their pre-paid cards over that last year and every single one of them showed up and each one of them worked. How is that a scam? Moron!"

in reply to

Well known Florida, USA based SPAM n' SCAM operation claiming to be in a country that doesn't even exist!

If you send these people a nickel your nuts.

Again a fake testimonial (from here)

I think for the one time fee its well worth it. I have been using them on a regualr basis since late 1998 or early 1999 so I have certainly got my monies worth.

Them and Cotse are pretty much all I use and they work well together.

Sting operation?

A bit of conspiracy-theory:

from here

Besides speculation and rumor, does anyone know any

hard facts about Ultimate Anonymity....i.e. who runs
it, are they true privacy advocates, etc.?
They claim to have over 10,000 members. I'm not so sure.
I have a U.A. account, so I am familiar with the two
primary "From" headers that are used when you post via
Ultimate and
Just out of curiosity I did a DejaNews search for a posting
history of these two "From" headers, just to get some idea of
how many other people might be using U.A., and what variety of
newsgroups they post to.
It seems the vast majority of posts thru U.A. are very poorly
disguised promotions for U.A....posts with texts like "Wow, it
sure is kewl posting anonymously like this! Go to www.ultimate-"
Also disturbing is that most of these "plugs" for U.A., from U.A.,
seem to be aimed at various perverted newsgroups...prettyboy,
teens, necrophilia, bestiality, etc. Sick...
Anyone have the true skinny on these guys?????

>They're spammers, and they're using's free service, and
probalby charging for it. That's enough; don't use them.

Here's something interesting from this thread (
Note, it says: The author of this message requested that it not be archived. This message will be removed from Groups in 4 days (Sep 10, 6:14 am).

After paying the big $$ & PC started running r e a l l y s l o w.

Spyware doctor says I've picked up a rootkit.
Is UA a front org for the DHS?

This message is followed by UA shilling as "Winston Doolittle" signed "Jiff" defending UA....

Another usenet thread:

UltimateAnonymity, has all the numbers to be a sting, it is impossible
to run a privacy service under those prices, the money must come in
from other sources I suspect, come membership at $58?

Yeah sure. And who pays the server bandwith, the domain name, the
staff, the taxes, and so much more involved.

When I first found UA a few years back I though they would take the
money then shut down the company and that is your life membership gone,
but seeing they are still in business, I can just think of an NSA
operation, with spamming rights included so they even look half criminal.

The NSA wants as many people as possible using their sting operation and
the best way of doing that is making it as cheap as possible.

I dont have any proof, but common sense tells me it is impossible to run
the service on $58 for life, not even $100.

Digging up dirt on Usenet

Ultimate-Anonymity is a scam. Thats what someone one Usenet thinks.

However, "Josh Mandell" and "Ormond Laplunk" two extraordinary satisfied customers bravely defend the product. Right! They are clearly the scammer of UA just like the original poster thinks:

"What I bet is that you have something to do with ultimate-anonymity. I have
complied with all the above, thanks for pointing out you can log in from
anywhere, it proves my point that UA is a rip off that cancells accounts at
different times, as I have read in google newsgroup searches! As I have not
forgot my passwords, they are ripping me and others off as they come into
the need for money. Do a google newsgroups search of ultimate anonymity and
see what the previous poster is talking about. I have no doubt you will get
a response right away from them. I never have, at any time. By the way, I
wrote to that address you had mentioned in an earlier post, no reply.

Others aren't too happy either:

> All they do is sell someone elses re-mailers (only thing they give is
> the interface) with out of date proxies and old free software. They

And U-A must be really hurting for money just now. They are now
hitting the newsgroups harder than ever.

He's actually flooding some newsgroups now.

Many machines running, making a pass about every 3-4 hours, dumping
100 or more posts per newsgroup per pass. I wouldn't bother even
calculating the BI -- He must be in the triple-digits by now

He's using several different NSP's (mainly Newsfeeds), and a whole
bunch of click-through redirector sites.

As to the value of what he's selling... I won't even go near him.
Anybody that spams to the extent this jerkwad is spewing has got to be
a scamming a worthless product, trying to bait as many suckers as he
can before the filters kick in. "

And again we have "Josh Mandell", who's just a happy UA users (yeah right) protecting UA claiming it's the resellers/associates fault! Wow, the same excuse "Bill Collins" had.

That is the main problem with reseller programs. You start using
resellers or "associates" as some sites call them (Evidence Eliminator
was good for this) and that is what you get. Idiots using disposable
ISPs, news accounts and a bulk posting program trying to get rich.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who sees what a lying, scamming, spamming company UA is:

Most messages are from 2004 and earlier, so he's been doing his dirty stuff long enough don't you think?

The spammers real identity?

Is Bill Collins really William Moffatt or is this just one of his many fake names? Is there another guy called Josh Rankin?

Dude Ultimate Anonymity is Awesome! (NOT)

Here's another sad example,

Someone on a forum asking whether ultimate-anonymity is any good:

"They are offering lifetime subscriptions at the moment but most of their services can be obtained free by using free software and information found on the internet. Is there any advantages to be gained by using their services? Their anonymous visa might be interesting but I think they don't give enough information about it."

A little bit further down the thread we found a positive review from a happy customer (apparenty)

"Where you get that you can get everything they have for "free" elsewhere. Did you even look at the products page? I have used Ultimate Anonymity for a couple years now and they offer some pretty cool self branded software that works exactly as advertised. I elected the lifetime option and feel I got my moneys worth with just one of the programs from their site. I have bought two of their anonymous Visa cards and they work as described. I was able to set each one up with a different name and address and was able to make purchases from websites without giving any of my personal details. Very neat indeed. I also am a fan of Usenet so I use the usenet service they provide and stopped paying my monthly service. its worth it dude."

Join Date: May 2008
Posts: 1

"GreyHatsRule" joined in May, the same month as this thread was made, and has only posted one post; This message above. Dude, what a coincidence, I wonder who he is, dude!

The same thing here:

We see that "GreyHatsRule" also posts a positive review and after him someone called "skateharder" (Remeber Bill Collins said " I myself use a url in my signature line and its usually either to a skateboarding or surf ing website that I like..." so it's probable that "skateharder" is also him. Josh T, looks like a nickname he uses, as does most of them.

Edward on the other hand seems like a reasonable fellow:

Ultimate-Anonymity are spammers of usenet and elsewhere and their product provides nothing you can not do (for free) by following simple guides found on the Internet. As their spam messages on Usenet include fake testimonials, I would not be surprised if the messages in support of ultimate/anonymity above are fake also. If their product is good why do they have to resort to such spam tactics to sell it?

Also, the IP addresses on that page look familiar, ones that "Bill Collins" uses, at least two IPs at Embarq corporation - and two at AOL. One through Anonymouse (Who adds reviews/comments through anonymouse and why?) Two IPs at (I bet ultimate-anonymous has a mirror or two there too)

These fake reviews just go on and on . Tons of fake reviews by "various people". Take Josh Saunders for instance: . Sad

"Bill Collins" spams again

Another day, another spam from Bill Collins of "Cyber Solutions".

Dude that is quite fascinating indeed. Those scientists dudes are pretty smart.

If that isn't a spam masked with a superficial comment I don't know what is.

And again a new mirror site.

Wednesday, September 3, 2008 - Yet another Ultimate Spammer URL

And so the spammer opens yet another mirror site. His plan seems to be to have many mirrors and spam each one just slightly.

Here's two more:

The biggest comment-spammer is back!

I decided to put this blog on hibernation mode as long as the spammer stopped spamming. But now he's back!

"Way to go theire speilberg. Rack up some mo money! Josh "

Take my advice, don't trust
